Dixon returns

Boardsmill's Kyle Dixon will return to captain the Meath team for Saturday's Leinster MFC quarter-final clash with Dublin in Parnell Park, 3.0.

Dixon, who is a grandson of Meath legend Paddy 'Stonewall' Dixon, missed the 3-18 to 1-6 victory over Wicklow in round one, but he returns to the starting line-up with Jack O'Connor dropping to the bench.

Dixon's inclusion is a welcome boost as manager Eoin Carroll is without Iarla Hughes and the Boardsmill player's clubmate Charlie Bird will fill in at full-back. Darren Heaney replaces Hughes in the first 15, but will start at centre-forward.
