Ratoath's Conor Rooney receives assistance today in Walterstown.

Good start for Ratoath

Ratoath recorded a comfortable victory over St Ultan’s in the opening round of the IFC at Walterstown this afternoon when they won with plenty to spare by 4-13 to 2-7.

St Ultan’s finished with 14 men following a late red card while Ratoath also had a player sent-off, but for a black card offence.

Bryan mcMahon scored two goals while Conor Rooney and Brian O’Connor each got one.

Ratoath’s Joey Wallace also picked up an injury and that could rule him out of next saturday’s eagerly-awaited game against Ballivor who opened with a fine win againt carnaross on Saturday evening in Navan.
