St Michael's give masterclass to win All-Ireland

With the help of a hat-trick of goals from both Kelly Harris and Naoise deGraaff St Michael's, Loreto, Navan marched to a resounding 10-14 to 1-11 victory over St Joseph's, Foxford in the All-Ireland Post-Primary All-Ireland Schools Senior C FC final at Ardagh today.

Stacey Grimes (two), Shauna Fitzgerald and Kelsey Nesbitt also found the net for St Michael's who gave a masterclass of attacking play that St Joseph's Foxford simply couldn't resond to any meaningful way.

The game was effectively over at the interval when St Michael's led 3-12 to 1-6 and even though the Navan side faced into the breeze in the second-half it didn't make any differance to the balance of the play.

DeGraaff was afterwards nominated as the player of the game but there were a number of others candidates for the title including Grimes, Harris, Hannah Heskin and Nesbitt

The St Michael's management team of coach Michelle Delaney and selector Michael Cassidy afterwards praised the dedication of their players throughout the championship.
