Meath Chronicle Fantasy Football

So you think you could manage?

So you think having Niall McLoughlin and Jamie Queeney banging balls up front to Cian Ward and Joe Sheridan would be the concoction of a winning formula? How about Kevin Reilly keeping guard of Tony McDonnell’s goals with Gary Arkins and Craig Berrigan lording the midfield exchanges?

The combinations are limitless, but now you have a chance to pick your Fantasy Football team from the clubs competing in the Meath SFC.

The Meath Chronicle are offering you the chance to win a significant prize and all you have to do is a pick a fantasy GAA team that is better than everyone else’s. The rules are simple. You have to pick a team of 15 players, nominate one of those as your captain (his scores will count double) and also select a manager.

There are various ways for your players to gain points, and also to lose them, so you have to pick the best combination and finish top of the pile when Keegan Cup champions are crowned.

We made contact with every club with regard to submitting their panel of players for the SFC, so if some players are left out of a particular club’s squad, then don’t blame us, blame the club.

Entry to this first Meath GAA Fantasy Football is free. You can fill out the form in this week’s paper or online to enter your team. We will be accepting online entries from Friday March 21st.

As always there are a few limitations and a couple of rules and regulations. When picking your team you will only be allowed to choose a maximum of three players from the same club. You are also only allowed to select no more than two players involved with the Meath senior football panel.

The scoring is illustrated in the box below and all decisions of the Meath Chronicle Sports Department are final. All the relevant points will be garnered from the information picked up by our reporters at the games and we will endeavor to be as accurate as possible.

All rules and regulations must be strictly adhered too and anyone who breaks the rules by picking too many players from the same club or sneakily trying to include three or four county players will be disqualified and publically shamed in our column that will be published every week of the championship.
