St Patrick's CS match OFF

The scheduled Leinster Colleges SFC clash between St Patrick's CS, Navan and Moate CS is off.

The Navan side were due to get their championship campaign up and running in Pairc Tailteann, but officials didn't want to risk damaging the pitch ahead of Meath's NFL Div 2 opener against Galway on Sunday.

School officials tried several other alternative venues, but most pitches were deemed unplayable and with heavy rain expected overnight the possibility of finding a suitable venue disappeared.

It is hoped that the game will be refixed for some day next week.
