Treasurer's report sanctioned at convention

There was a broad welcome for treasurer Brendan Dempsey's report at tonight's Meath GAA convention in Navan O'Mahonys were delegates adopted the financial report that incorporated a provision for bad and doubtful debts of €93,000.

Former Co Board chairman Barney Allen and former treasurer Pat Clerkin both praised the efforts of the current chairman and treasurer.

 “I'm glad to see we are on the road back” stated the former chairman.

Delegates congratulated the treasurer on his report and also on his efforts to curtail expenditure and increase income.

The treasurer also told delegates that he had identified a number of areas where further savings could be made including the use of mobile phones.
