Meath's Michael Newman has been included in the Allstar nominations for 2013 following the announcement this morning as the Kilmainham player shapes up for next week's junior football championship final against Drumbaragh at Pairc Tailteann.
Newman burst on to the inter-county scene this year and was Meath's top scorer in the NFL and Championship games finishing with a a tally of 5-60.
He has already received a nomination as a monthly (July) winner in the Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotel Group Sportsperson of the year awards.
However, his focus will be very much on helping his club to win the JFC title next weekend in Navan when Kilmainham face parish rivals Drumbaragh in the decider.
