Hurling championships heat up

The various hurling championships are really starting to heat up with a number of intriguing games now fixed with referees appointed.
The first of the two SHC quarter-finals will take place on Saturday 7th September when Navan O’Mahonys take on Longwood at Pairc Tailteann, 5.50 with Fergus Smith in charge.
The same day the fates of Kilskyre and Donaghmore/Ashbourne will also be decided as they take on each other in the IHC quarter-final at Trim, 4.0 with Nick Fitzgerld the man in the middle.
The curtain-raiser that day in Trim is the clash between Boardsmill and Moylagh in the JHC semi-final, 2.30 with Tony Healy in charge.
Also on that date is the Div 2 HC final between St Patrick’s and Longwood at Pairc Tailteann, 4.0 with Michael Ryan holding the whistle.  
There will also be plenty of hurling action on Sunday 8th September as Drumree take on Boardsmill in a SHC relegation final at Kilmessan, 11.0.
The same day Wolfe Tones take on Dunderry in the IHC quarter-final encounter at Trim with an early start of 11.0. The referee for this encounter is Donal Smyth.
