Walterstown's Conor O'Sullivan gets his shot away despite Bryan Clarke's attempted block in tonights SFC clash at Dunsany

Wins for Seneschalstown and Na Fianna

Brian Sheridan was the star of the show with seven points as Seneschalstown leap-frogged Walterstown in the SFC group A table with a comfortable 1-14 to 1-7 victory at Dunsany tonight.
After getting off to a glorious start with an unfortunate own goal off the shins of Davy Reynolds Seneschalstown soon found themselves 1-3 to 1-4 adrift as Ruairi O’Dowd nabbed a goal for Walterstown. However, a strong finish to the half saw Andrew McCann’s side lead by 1-7 to 1-4 at the break.
After the resumption Seneschalstown kicked on with Brian Sheridan bringing his tally to seven points. The only blot on the performance was the late sending off of Damien Sheridan following an off-the-ball incident. The red card means the influential midfielder will be suspended for the next round game against Navan O’Mahonys.
Earlier in the afternoon Na Fianna proved that their opening round win over Dunboyne was no flash in the pan as they destroyed Dunshaughlin 3-12 to 0-9 at Trim.
Boosted by a pair of first-half goals from Shane Barrett against the wind Na Fianna led by 2-5 to 0-5 at the break and after Dean Barrett added a third goal with six minutes remaining to make it 3-10 to 0-8 it signalled the end for Dunshaughlin.
