The club scene made a welcome return to action this weekend with Summerhill getting their A FL Div 1 campaign up and running with a last ditch victory over Navan O'Mahonys by 1-14 to 2-7 in Summerhill.

The other feature game of the day saw Donal Curtis get his tenure as Castletown off to a winning start with a narrow 0-9 to 0-8 victory over Graham Geraghty's Duleek/Bellewstown.

In other games Blackhall Gaels managed just one point from a first-half free as they were comprehensively beaten by Skryne, while in Div 4 the 'Galacticos' of St Paul's made a winning start with a 2-5 to 1-5 win over St Brigid's.
