Donaghmore/Ashbourne negotiated Duleek/Bellewstown by 0-15 to 0-7 as the Meath SFC resumed after a long break.
The game was played at St Patrick's in Stamullen, the first championship match at the venue in over 20 years.
The facilities at Stamullen are a credit to the club with a magnificent clubhouse and a superb main pitch.
This game was always clsoe until the near the end when Donaghmore/Ashbourne did enough to ease to victory after leading by 0-8 to 0-5 at the interval.
