Date set for Meath SFC final

Meath Co Board CCC announced this week that it is their intention to host the Meath SFC final on Sunday 14th October.

The Meath SFC final has often ran into late October or early November in recent years, but with Meath out of contention for All-Ireland SFC glory it is full steam ahead with the club championships.

However, if the Meath minors progress beyond their All-Ireland MFC semi-final clash with Mayo on Sunday 26th August then there could be some delays to the championship with Summerhill's Barry Dardis, Moynalvey's Cillian O'Sullivan and Wolfe Tones' Fiachra Ward all having featured for their clubs in the SFC this term.

The fourth round of the SFC is scheduled for the weekend of Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August. The fixtures are:

FRIDAY 17th AUGUST (7.0)

Seneschalstown - Dunshaughlin v Simonstown, SFC, P Nelis.

Bective - Summerhill v Kilmainhamwood, JFC, T Lorton.

Brews Hill - Slane v Kilmainham, JFC, M Griffin.

Skryne - Duleek/Bellewstown v Trim, JFC, D Browne.

Curraha - St Colmcille's v Walterstown, Junior B, P Coyle.

Kilbride - St Vincent's v Ratoath, Junior B, C Flynn.

Castletown - Seneschalstown v Wolfe Tones, Junior B, O Cassidy.

Athboy - Boardsmill v Moynalty, Junior B, M McDonagh.

SATURDAY 18th AUGUST (7.0)

Navan - Moynalvey v Duleek/Bellewstown, SFC, 5.30, G McGivney; Navan O'Mahonys v Blackhall Gaels, SFC, 7.0, C Reilly.

Bective - Nobber v Summerhill, SFC, D Smyth.
