'Boylan did not resign' claims chairman

Meath Co Board chairman Barney Allen told delegates at the start of tonight's meeting in Navan that Director of Football Sean Boyaln did not resign.

The chairman explained to delegates at the start of the meeting that was convened to remove Seamus McEnaney as senior football team manager (see other story) that there was a 'misunderstanding' over Sean Boylan's role.

A number of delegates were critical of the chairman with Carnaross delegate Eugene Comaskey - who asked the question at the last meeting "Had Sean Boylan resigned" - stating that the Co Board chairman was telling the delegates "A cock and bull story"

It was stated by the chairman that Sean Boylan would address delegates at the next Co Board meeting.
