Meath duo edged out

Meath's Brian Carroll and Tom Sheridan surrendered their All-Ireland 60 x 30 handball title at Croke Park yesterday evening.

The Kells duo were beaten by Dublin's Eoin Kennedy and Egin Jensen in what turned out to be a thriller.

Last year, they served up a cracker at the semi-final stage where Meath edged a 21-18 tie-breaker victory, but the Dublin duo, who won the title in 2007, regained the title with a fine performance, 21-20, 21-12.
