Ladies in provincial action

SENESCHALSTOWN ladies will get their bid to reign at provincial level underway when they face Louth champions Naomh Malachy in the ladies Leinster Club SFC quarter-final at Kilcurry on Friday evening, 8.0.

Seneschalstown have enjoyed fine success in Meath for the last seven years and they have tasted provincial glory before, but will be eager to return to the Leinster final having lost out to Ballyboden / St. Enda's last year

The Meath champions will be hot favourites and should have little difficulty in seeing off Naomh Malachy, but they are without their regular goalkeeper Louise Byrne who was injured during Seneschalstown successful All-Ireland seven-a-side campaign.

However, spare a thought for the members of Moynalvey GAA club. The girls have been fixed to play a u-16 decider in Ratoath on Sunday which will make it difficult for many parents to make it to the JFC final Pairc Tailteann where the club will be bidding for an adult title in the decider against Clann na nGael.
