Another 4lbs gone on the motivation weight loss programme

Week Six

I was thrilled this week to lose another 4lbs on the Motivation diet and just what it means to me and my health was brought home to me when my counsellor Siobhan invited me to wear a vest type contraption that weights a stone.
I have lost over a stone since I started back with Motivation after Christmas and the shock of putting on that vest and realising I was carrying all that weight around with me just six weeks ago was startling - and to think that before Christmas, I had been carrying around even more!
It really hammers home the point that all that weight isn’t good and I certainly need to to lose quite a bit more for the sake of my heart, lungs, joints.
I certainly feel a lot lighter, less tired and more energetic and sticking to the Motivation diet isn’t that difficult.
Initially, I had been pretty shocked that I could only have two portions of carboydrates a day, but I have never found it too difficult - the Motivation protein bars help keep me from being hungry between meals.
They are delicious - you can choose from various chocolate and cereal bars, savoury crisp-like snacks, soups or cereals. I have two each day - between meals - and never feel hungry and I am able to cope with much smaller portion sizes at mealtimes.
I have particular soft spots for their chocolate peanut bars and their delicious barbecue flavoured crisp-like snack. I have to stress that while these are low calorie - they are nothing like low calorie snacks that are available in the shops - they are very high in protein and are very, very filling and satisfying.
Motivation also helps create new habits and new ways of thinking - I certainly don’t think about food anywhere near as often any more and I don’t reach for food if Im worried or bored!
I’ve just enjoyed a really nice weekend away too. Now in the past, the biggest enjoyment of that would be the food - now it was just another pleasant part of the experience. I enjoyed my food - without thinking of it, I chose healthier options and even managed to lost four pounds over the course of the week.
Motivation is really working, it is really changing the way I think, as well as the way I eat and hopefully I will have further losses to report next week!
