Leading Americana singer for Ratoath

Amanda Shires appears in Ratoath on 28th April.

ONE of America's leading ladies in Americana style Music, Amanda Shires will be performing with her band at the Venue Theatre in Ratoath on Saturday 28th April.

According to Americana and alternative country music expert group Americana UK: "Shires is a talented and idiosyncratic song-writer. She is a fiddling maestro, at times her energetic, jittery vocals and eccentric lyrical subjects mark her out as a young female heir to godfather of strange, Mr Tom Waits. In her more conventional moments Shires sounds like the young niece of Dolly Parton,"

This exciting young singer is on a European tour and graces the stage of the Venue Theatre on Saturday 28th April at 8pm, Tickets are €15 euro and are available online at www.venuetheatre.ie or from the box office at (01) 689 5600.
