Louise Burke from Balreask, Navan, met John and Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, during their visit to the TLT in Drogheda.

Jedward Jet Loose (TV3, Wednesday 8pm). Brand new series following twin X Factor stars Jedward as they move out of home for the first time. Cameras are with the boys as they try out life in their swanky new Dublin flat, fending for themselves and sleeping in separate bedrooms.

The experience gets off to a rocky start when the pair arrive at their new apartment to find no running water. The next day they are due to perform at a major gig to promote their debut album, but Edward has a knee injury that could throw their whole tour into jeopardy.

The Wounded Platoon (BBC 2, Wednesday 9pm). Since the Iraq War began, 17 US soldiers based at Fort Carson, Colorado, have been charged or convicted in 14 murders, manslaughters and attempted murders. Many of these crimes involved men who had served in the same battalion in Iraq.

Three of them came from a single platoon. This documentary tells the dark tale of the soldiers from the Third Platoon - the modern-day Band Of Brothers - and how the war followed them home.

It is a story of heroism, grief, combat, drugs, alcohol and brutal murder; and a shocking portrait of what multiple tours and post-traumatic stress are doing to a generation of American soldiers. More than 300,000 US troops now suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or severe depression after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. But, once back home, many troops have been unable to access appropriate psychological care.

Money to Burn (TV3, Wednesday 10pm). Money to Burn: What the Government Doesnt Want You to know looks at why the Taoiseach has the fourth highest leader's salary in the world, why the government spent over €50 million on a house that was for sale at €19 million and examines why the roads cost more than twice what they should have.

Florida: Paradise Lost (ITV, Thursday 9pm). Florida is universally known as the Sunshine State so it's unsurprising that many holidaymakers want to stay there for good.

This programme looks at the highs and lows for some of the almost half a million Brits who have made Florida their home in the past thirty years.

While ex pats are chasing the dream of making their fortune in the sun, the insecurity of the strict visa requirements means even Brits who've lived in the US for years can find themselves being sent home. On top of this, fierce competition in recession-hit businesses and expensive medical treatment can lead to financial devastation.

This is Me (RTE 1, Friday 730pm). The first of a new series tells the personal story of 60-year-old Pamela Hackett; a petite, articulate and good looking woman. For 50 years Pamela knew she had 'something' but didn't know what.

Pamela now knows that she has been living with Tourette Syndrome all her life. Pamela's 'tics' come in the form of coughing, grimacing, shrugging her shoulders, shaking her legs and blinking her eyes. In public, she is able to control her tics by holding them in; however after a while they will start to 'escape'. This can make Pamela tense and her efforts to control the tics leads to chronic tiredness.

America's Got Talent (TV3, Friday 9pm). It's that time of year again! America's Got Talent returns with this brand new series which will be scouring the country in search of the most talented person in America.

Howie Mandel, one of America's favourite entertainers, joins returning celebrity judges Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan this season, while actor-comedian Nick Cannon returns as host.

Agatha Christie's Marple (ITV, Monday 9pm). The award-winning Julia McKenzie returns as the world's favourite spinster sleuth, Miss Marple, in The Pale Horse, dramatised from the novel by Agatha Christie.

The show also stars Neil Pearson, Pauline Collins, Holly Valance, Sarah Alexander and Nicholas Parsons. Miss Marple's old friend Father Gorman is brutally murdered after visiting the dying Mrs Davis, and when Miss Marple receives a mysterious list of names through the post, sent by Gorman moments before his death, she heads to London to investigate.

Movie of the week: The Hoax (RTE 1, Friday 935pm). Richard Gere is directed Lasse Hallström in this true life drama. The writer Clifford Irving nearly pulled off one of the most audacious media scams in history, when his 'autobiography' of Howard Hughes was published. Irving claimed the book was based on in-person interviews with the reclusive billionaire, which were in fact completely bogus.
