Entrants are sought for the Highway 67 Music Awards run by Highway 67 Online Music Magazine and supported by the Louth Arts Office.

Last year's inaugural event was a complete success and Dundalk will once again see its second 'grammy' style awards ceremony for Irish original artists on 9th October in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

This year sees a few changes to the structure, as the name has changed from the Dundalk Music Awards to the new title of Highway 67 Music Awards as unsigned original bands from Louth, Meath and Monaghan can now enter the competition.

There are numerous categories to enter that will appeal to a wide range of musicians. There are public vote categories that include Best singer, best guitarist, best bassist, best pianist, best drummer, best band, best singer/songwriter, best metal band.

Voting for these categories will take place on a dedicated website over the months of August-September. Categories also include best EP/single, best album, best song, best video.

Bands and musicians interested in entering they can check out all the details at www.highway67.net.
