'Copacabana' on stage in Navan

'Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl' … So begins the saga of Lola and Tony. Their tale of love and romance on the way to stardom had captivated millions, and now is a full-scale, Broadway-style musical fantasy. Original songs created by Barry Manilow, dazzling costumes, spectacular sets and sensational choreography all add up to an evening of entertainment that will leave you breathless, and 'Copacabana' will be presented over the next two weeks by St Mary's Musical Society as its 2010 musical production.

This year's choreographer is former Billie Barry kid, Sonya Dunne. Dunne has been working very hard with the chorus dancers since October last to bring some of the most imaginative entertaining dance sequences seen on a Navan stage since 'West Side Story' in 2006. The energy and excitement of the musical numbers is really infectious.

'Copacabana' runs in the Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th March, and from Wednesday 24th to Saturday 27th March. Booking is at Solstice box office on (046) 909 2300.
