Young Dunshaughlin musician in Star Search

The people of Meath will have an opportunity to vote for a candidate from the county who is taking part in RTE's 'Star Search' competition.

JJ McNamara, from Growtown, Dunshaughlin, won his way past the first round of the Star Search competition which is aimed at finding young talent and is aired as part of the The Den, the afternoon children's programme.

The second round of the competition takes place on this Tuesday afternoon, 26th January and viewers will have a chance to cast their vote from Tuesday to Thursday.

They can vote by logging onto rte.ie/ice and then click on 'Star Search.' JJ McNamara is the son of well-known musician Frank McNamara and former RTE presenter turned barrister Theresa Lowe.
