Longwood and speed bumps
Dear sir - In the Meath Chronicle dated Saturday 28th May 2011, Councillor William Carey said that "no way" will there be speed bumps in Longwood. The reason he gives is that is a regional road. What has a regional road to do with speed bumps?
If Cllr Carey took the time to travel to Broadford which is about 8km from Longwood, he would he would see the value of speed bumps on a regional road L1002.
More important he will be able to see where the 'Green Team' in St Fintina's Post Primary School is coming from. To the Green Team, keep up the good work, and continue to point out health and safety issues. Those issues are as important to senior citizens as they are to you. Well done.
Yours,
Patrick Cummins PC,
Longwood,
Enfield.
