SOSAD in appeal for volunteers
Dear sir - In 2011, SOSAD-trained volunteers in Navan took 261 calls from people in great distress or very worried about a relative, friend or colleague.

The parking charges situation in Trim
Dear sir - I was highly entertained by Cllr O'Brien's apologia for the draconian new parking fines recently applied in Trim (Meath Chronicle 28/1/12).

Dear sir - John Grant baby sat a theatre full of children on Saturday afternoon. Cheer Boo said the electronic boxes but they were not needed at Shrek's big adventure Kells 36th annual panto.

Dear sir - The invitation by the caithaoirleach, Cllr Brian Collins, to the Chinese Ambassador, his excellency Mr Luo Linquan and his wife, will, I hope, bring changes for the better to our town of Kells. Already a large crowd of Chinese people will be visiting next Sunday to enjoy the closure of the Chinese New Year.
