Aldi plans to have Dunshaughlin store open in early 2020

Aldi Ireland has received planning permission for a store in Dunshaughlin.

Located on Lagore Road close to Main St the company says 20 new permanent jobs will be created at the store, while up to 80 construction jobs will be supported during the building phase.

Aldi plans to finish construction and open the new store by early 2020.

The 1,152 square metre store will be constructed in Aldi’s award-winning Project Fresh design. The store will be powered by 100 per cent green electricity, with 90 free car parking spaces available for customers.

Donald Mackay, managing director, Aldi Naas region said: “Meath County Council’s decision is great news for Dunshaughlin shoppers. We have received huge local support to open a store in the town. Every new Aldi store that opens brings greater choice, quality and value to shoppers.”

“Our commitment to our customers is we will never be beaten on price and will always provide the best value. Our Swap and Save campaign continues into 2019 and the goal of this campaign is to remind shoppers about the saving that can be generated by swapping their weekly shop to Aldi.”

“We already have stores in Trim, Kells, Ashbourne, Navan and Clonee that are hugely popular and very much part of their local community.  We are now very much looking forward to opening in Dunshaughlin.”
