Gardai investigate assault on man outside his home

Gardai are investigating an assault at Old Road, Dunsany yesterday evening where a man was hit across the head when he went outside after hearing a noise. The incident occurred at approximately 7.40pm on the Old Road, Dunsany, which is between Killeen and Tara.

The owner thought he heard something and when he went outside to check it out, was hit across the head. Gardai believe the suspects may have escaped through the fields. Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the Dunsany area yesterday evening and saw anything unusual, to please contact Navan Garda Station on  (046) 9036100.
