Carlanstown shop burglary captured on CCTV

Gardaí at Kells are investigating a burglary which occurred overnight at the Mace Shop in Staholmog, Carlanstown.

An alarm activated at the premises at 2.50am. The culprits broke into the premises via the rear door and caused damage to a number of internal doors. An unsuccessful attempt was made to open the ATM machine in the shop. At least three culprits were involved in the incident.

CCTV footage taken at 2.50am shows a male with face covered and wearing a dark woollen hat with white trims. He has small flashlight in his mouth while he searches behind the counter.

Anybody who was in the area in the early hours of this morning and noticed any vehicle acting suspiciously or who may have any information that would assist the investigation is asked to contact Kells Garda Station on 046-9280820.

Meanwhile, tools were stolen from a van in Dunboyne village this morning. The suspect car is a 05D silver Mondeo. If you see the car please call 01 8010600.
