Navan gig planned for Tony Murray

Musicians from Meath and beyond will gather in the Newgrange Hotel on Saturday night (30th September) for a fund-raising event for  Navan resident Tony Murray who is battling an illness that will require treatment in the United States.

The 'Friends of Tony Murray' event will include music from local musicians such as renowned harmonica player Paddy Smith, who is particularly known for his rendition of the blues, as well as local singer Pauly Fagan and former Lookalikes band member Sean O'Connor.

Joining them will be a host of other musicians from around the Meath area including and Dublin who specilise in more traditional tunes such as the band Keel.  Tony will also be in attendance.

The music is scheduled to get underway at 8pm. "Hopefully this will prove to be a big help to Tony and any support he receives will be greatly appreciated," commented Paddy Smith.

The entrance fee is €15 at the door.
