WATCH: Kathy Crinion sings 'Stairway to Heaven' for the first time and nails it

Trim Castle was the stunning backdrop for the King John's Prom and an evening of top class musical entertainment last night.

Kathy Crinion, Amie Dier, Maria Butterly, Leah Barniville, Frank McNamara and Don Baker were among the stars appearing at what organisers hope will be an annual event

.

The Drogheda Male Voice Choir and Sonata Singers joined the Drogheda Orchestra Collective to play soundtracks from cinematic epics as Dances with Wolves, Once Upon A Time in the West and Braveheart which was filmed at Trim Castle.

The show was presented by Theresa Lowe and also included Kate O'Toole, daughter of Hollywood hellraiser Peter O'Toole introducing the theme music to 'Lawrence of Arabia'

Tonight will see Don Baker back on stage with actor Patrick Bergin and Kathy Crinion who closed the opening night with a rousing rendition of Stairway to Heaven

Some tickets  still available from www.ticketmaster.ie and the The Stockhouse Restaurant.
