Three arrests in Ciaran Reilly assault investigation

A juvenile has appeared before Navan District Court charged in relation to the assault on Navan shop owner Ciaran Reilly.

The youth, who cannot be named as he is a minor, was before Navan Court on Wednesday, charged with assault. He was remanded on bail to appear again at a later date.

He was one of three juveniles arrested on Tuesday evening as part of the garda investigation into the assault on Mr Reilly outside the Londis store at Abbeylands, Navan, on 18th June. The other two minors were released without charge and a file is to be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Two further arrests are expected in the investigation, and Gardai say these arrests are imminent.
