Ratoath teen through to live finals of BGT

Ratoath's Leah Barniville is through to the live semi-finals of Britain's got talent and will be performing tomorrow night (Tuesday).
Leah wowed the judges in her audition and has been trending on YouTube since.
Her amazing performance of ‘Caruso’ by Lucio Dalla received a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience in the auditions.
Leah, a second year student of Ratoath College, has created great excitement in the school, where principal, Oonagh Prendergast, paid tribute to her this week. “We are immensely proud of her. She is an amazing young lady.
“We were thrilled to see her so composed and mature and we are 110 per cent behind her,” she said.
Leah, who has had singing lessons with Helen McHugh of Trim said it is 'all very exciting.'

 

Her live audition was attended by her parents, Karen and Tim, her little brother, Daniel who was moved to tears by her performance, and her aunt.
She has watched over the recording of her performance and thought Daniel's tears were 'so cute.'
She said it was amazing to know she has so many people behind her and supporting her.
