SLANE SPECIAL: November Rain is going to arrive at Slane a little early

Slane concert-goers will need to show a little Patience tomorrow in terms of the weather and getting to the site. Met Eireann are predicting November Rain, sorry May, tomorrow afternoon but hopefully they won't have an Appetite for Destruction and clear before Guns N' Roses take the stage at around 7pm.

According to Met Eireann we can expect 'a cloudy start with rain in many places on Saturday morning. The rain locally heavy and thundery. Drier brighter weather will develop over Munster in the afternoon and extend northwards during the course of the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures tomorrow of 15 to 20 degrees, coolest along the western half of the country. Light variable breezes will become moderate to fresh westerly as the rain clears northwards.'

Ff you are attending the concert please dress for the weather. Keep your belonings safe - especially tickets, phone and cash. Beware of pick pockets!

Gardaí strongly advise patrons to use bus transport to the event. There is a shuttle bus operating from the Market Square in Navan to Slane starting at 1.30pm and running up to 7pm. There is also a shuttle service from the Bus Depot in Drogheda starting at 12.30pm and running up to 6pm. Return services will operate immeidately after the end of the concert.
