WATCH: What you NEED to know about Saturday's Slane concert

Over 400 gardai will be on duty for the Slane concert this Saturday, including specialist units, who will be supported by an additional 1,200 security/stewards provided by licensed security companies together with a full complement of doctors and medical teams, including an on-site hospital along with five first aid posts.

The Event Control Management Team outlined the operation at a media briefing last Thursday as well as an extensive lists of prohibitied items that concert-goers are advised to be aware of.

Q: How do you access the Slane Castle concert site?
Not by private car is you can at all help it. On show day, the village is closed and a comprehensive traffic plan will be in operation. Fans should allow themselves plenty of travel time when getting to the concert and use public transport.

Q: What is the earliest I can arrive to the event?
A: Gates are advertised to open at 2pm on show day. No queuing will be permitted prior to this so you should time your arrival accordingly. Otherkin are expected on stage at 3ish. Reports suggest Axl Rose ansd GNR have become a lot more disciplined timekeepers and could be on stage by 7pm as it’s a long set.

Q: Can I bring garden furniture or seats with me?
A: No. Neither garden furniture nor umbrellas will be permitted for Health and Safety reasons. This is a rock concert, not Bloom!

Q: I am diabetic and need someone to go to take/to store my insulin
A: Please notify security at the gates in advance of being searched that you are carrying such items. Bring official supporting medical documentation to avoid any issues on the day. Approach the medical tent at the event and a member of medical staff will be happy to assist you accordingly in relation to your requirements.

Q: Can I bring alcohol into the venue?
A: No booze is permitted onto the event site and searches will be in place at the entrances. There is also a 4-drink per person limit on all onsite bars. If you happen to be lucky enough to look under 25 bring ID, they'll be checking on event day.

A: There will be limited ATM facilities available. Considering there's 80,000 people expected it will hardly last long. Bring cash, leave the plastic at home.
