WATCH: Dunderry Fair was looking fantastic (between the showers) on Sunday

Robert Mizzell brought the sunshine on stage with him at Dunderry Fair last Sunday but sadly not even his 10-gallon stetson could hold back the deluge that rudely interrupted his gig at the annual village fundraiser.

The 'John Deere Beer' singer was the main attraction at a jam-packed jamboree and took time out to join with the crowd in waving up at the Meath Chronicle eye in the sky. Matt Leavy and Nigel Connell were also amongst the big name entertainers delighting the crowd between irritating May showers.

Thousands flocked to Dunderry to see the street trades and skills of times gone by being demonstrated by those for whom it was once a daily chore. Basket making, butter making and hand spinning took place with farm animals on show including cows, horses, donkeys, sheep, pigs and even alpacas trading hands. The rain didn't dampen the enthusiasm for the thousands who attended and our man Seamus Farrelly was on hand to capture some of the fun.
