Funeral details released for tragic Emma

Funeral details for tragic mum-of-three Emma O'Keeffe (26), who died following yesterday's road traffic collision on the Navan-Kingscourt Road at Leggagh, Castletown, have been released.

Local communities in Wilkinstown and Nobber have been left stunned by the tragedy that saw her two sons (2 and 7) seriously injured, one of whom remains in a critical condition in Temple Street Children's Hospital.

The death has occurred of Emma O'KEEFFE (née Smith) Coghalstown, Wilkinstown, Navan, Meath / Kells, Meath.

Formerly of Kilmainham, Kells and Nobber. Suddenly following an accident. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Robin, children, Daniel, Adam & Logan, father Patsy, mother Mary, brother Peter, sisters Donna & Kelly, father-in-law John, mother-in-law Eileen, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, Grandfather Eugene Smith, aunts and uncles, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O'Keeffe's residence, Coghalstown, Wilkinstown on Sunday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10:15am for Funeral Mass at 11am to St. John the Baptist Church Kilberry. House private Monday morning. Burial afterwards in Kilberry Cemetery.

Navan Gardai are investigating the collision involving a truck and the car, which occurred at approximately 1pm yesterday. The injured woman was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where she sadly passed away this morning.

The seven-year-old boy was initially taken to the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital but was then transferred to Temple Street where he remains in a critical condition. The two-year-old was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital and transferred to Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin. The family live in the Wilkinstown area.
