ScottyC for Late Late Toy Show review

Twelve-year-old Scott Corrigan from Kilberry will have an opportunity most children can only dream of when he stars on the Late Late Toy Show tonight.

Scott, a fifth class pupil at Wilkinstown NS, was chosen from over 8,000 entries to review the new Playstation 4 with VR headset with Ryan Tubridy.
Scott, aka ScottyC, is a YouTuber and regularly uploads videos where he is reviewing video games.
'He saw the ad for the auditions for Late Late Toy Show and said decided to do a video and send it in. From 8,000 entries he was one of 75 chosen to do an audition for RTE,' said proud dad Alan.
'About three weeks ago we went up for the auditions. It was like X-factor with three judges behind a desk. Scott has to talk about different games and talk into the camera. He had a bit of craic with them and they liked him.
'Then about a week and a half ago we got a call that he had been chosen. He was delighted and didn't expect it at all. He is like a celebrity in school now,' said Alan.
Scott was due to travel the RTE studios this morning with parents Alan and Aggie for rehearsal ahead of that evening's show.

'We never dreamed Scott would be able to go that far. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity,' said Alan.
'He dreams of being a professional YouTuber and game designer and this is another step forward with his passion,' he added.
As well as his big interest in gaming and media, Scott also plays rugby with Navan Under-13s and football and hurling with Wolfe Tones.
Three other local children will also perform on the show- 13-year-old Ross McCann from Oldcastle and Colin and Louise Bracken from Enfield. Colin and Louise, who auditioned in Dublin, are part of drumming group Experience Japan Kids Taiko Team, while Ross will be singing.
Ross's mum Philomena said there is huge excitement ahead of his appearance on the toy show and they are all very proud of him. Ross, a second year student at St Oliver's Post Primary attends music lessons with Enda Byrne in Virginia.
Philomena submitted a clip of Ross singing and he was called to audition in Dundalk where he performed an Ed Sheeran hit and was chosen to perform.
