Navan woman to feature in RTE's 'Painting the Nation.'

A Navan woman is among the seven contestants competing to be declared Ireland’s best amateur painter in RTÉ One’s brand new show 'Painting the Nation.'

Agnieszka Ryan, who is originally from Poland, lives in Navan, with her husband, Andy and son, Aaron.

Agnieszka can be seen in the  hour-long special, which starts the series on Sunday at 7.30pm.

Hailing from across the country – the seven painters have been selected from hundreds of accomplished amateur artists who applied to take part in 'Painting the Nation.'

Produced by Independent Pictures for RTÉ and presented by Pauline McLynn, 'Painting the Nation' is a competition to uncover and showcase the best amateur painting talent across the island of Ireland.

Only one artist’s work will be chosen by the judges at the end of the series to hang alongside the work of some of Ireland’s greatest painters in the Office of Public Works’ state art collection in Dublin Castle.
