Get involved in Navan's Purple Flag weekend

In 2015, Navan town achieved the Purple Flag, an award presented to towns that operate a vibrant, safe evening and night time economy between the hours of 5pm and 5am. Navan has recently received its Interim Renewal accreditation, retaining its status as a Purple Flag destination for 2016.

In celebration of their Purple Flag success, traders in Navan who operate between the hours of 5pm and 5am on the weekend of 7th-9th October will be putting on a series of events and initiatives to promote Navan as an evening and night time destination to shop, eat, drink and be entertained.

Navan Purple Flag Working Group invites everyone to come out and enjoy everything that Navan has to offer. Consisting of representatives from Navan’s evening and night time business community, Navan Chamber of Commerce, Meath County Council and An Garda Síochána, the group has established a new Purple Flag Navan Facebook page to promote activities coordinated under the Purple Flag initiative. You can follow this page for further information on events: www.facebook.com/NavanPurpleFlag.

If your business is located in Navan and forms part of the evening and night-time economy, you can get involved in Navan’s Purple Flag Weekend by emailing Donna Farrell, Navan Chamber of Commerce at navanchamber@gmail.com.
