Blathnaid in running for radio award

Rath Chairn broadcaster Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh has been shortlisted for a PPI Radio Award for her show Bláthnaid Libh on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.

The show has only been on air for a year, but has already won a radio award for Best Radio Show at Gradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtais in May, and is now shortlisted for Best Programme as Gaeilge at the PPI Radio Awards.

Bláthnaid Libh is broadcast on Saturday mornings 11 am - 12 pm.

Head of RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, Edel Ní Chuireáin, said: 'It's great to get this recognition for Bláthnaid Libh for Best Irish Language Programme, a show that has only been on air for a year, but is going from strength to strength. I wish the team all the best at the awards ceremony in October. '

The winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony in Lyrath, Kilkenny on Friday 7th October.
