Linda crowned 2016 Harvest Queen in Dunshaughlin

Kilmessan woman Linda Reid has been crowned as the Champagne Beauty 2016 Dunshaughlin Festival Queen.

The 44 year-old mother of two, who studied makeup artistry, works in The Hair Studio in Dunshaughlin.

A member of the Glennon family of Athronan, Dunsany, she is married to Jonathan, they have two boys, Calvin and Jonah, and Linda has Dunshaughlin family roots as her grandmother, Nancy Glennon, was a member of the Mangan family from the village.

She was both shocked and delighted to be nominated and go on to win the title.

'What can I say?.... I'm honoured and proud to have won the Harvest Festival Queen.... Thank you all so much for having faith in me, I won't let you down,' she declared.

The Harvest Festival committee thanked all the entrants -  Lauren Bartley, Linda Reid, Claire Fitzsimons, Linda McCormack and Laura Lennon who it says, all put in a fabulous effort on the night and all looked stunning.

The Harvest Festival takes place from 23rd to 26th September in Dunshaughlin.
