WATCH: Hot air balloon flight over Meath is just spectacular

Meath, you were looking just fantastic last Friday night... from 1600ft!

Dunshaughlin hot air balloon enthusiast Aidan Murphy and his team brought Mary Kealy from Dunshaughlin and The Meath Chronicle up for a magical flight above the Royal county landscape.

And it was spectacular!

Lifting off from Dunderry, the multicoloured balloon glided over Robinstown, Bective and out towards Bellinter in a blissful hour's journey before we descended, landing without so much as a bump in a freshly-cut field near Kilcarn.

The tranquility of the flight was only broken by the burner's occasional roar above our heads and the sounds of dogs barking as we passed over.

As well as 360 degree views of the Meath landscape, there were stunning views Carlingford and the Mournes to the North as well as Dublin Bay and the Wicklow Mountain to the east.

Watch the video of the flight and see can you spot your house!
