Here's Lucy: Believe in yourself!

Let's start with this week's weigh in - I was down 4.5 pounds on the scales. To say I was over the moon was an understatement. Two weeks previous to this I had fallen off plan and felt my food diary and fitness regime wasn't up to scratch. This gave me a complete negative outlook on myself and felt I was stuck in a rut and undid all of my hard work.

The biggest and best thing I did was turn it around before it was too late and found myself back at square one.

I took out a blank piece of paper and filled it in with both long term goals and short term goals for myself. I routed out my folder full of healthy dinner recipes and planned each main daily meal. Sometimes we all need to step back and start from scratch to help stop the feeling of being overwhelmed. I personally think the majority of people are too hard on themselves in general.

Everyone needs to have as I call them 'treat days' but on the other hand not let it get out of control either. I feel taking my snacks and a two litre bottle of water to work helps avoid unhealthy picking throughout the day.

It's only less than two weeks until the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon. I cant get over how the time has went by so quickly. My training plan was on hold for a short time but this week I am back to bite the bullet. I am going to add in swimming and cross training so I wont get fed up of jogging down the country roads in Clonmellon.

Best of luck to everyone who has signed up for the Mini Marathon, I will let you all know how it goes for me.

When I look back to January, I couldn't jog for five minutes & now I am jogging a 10km. Anything is possible, believe in yourself.
