Rescue challenge event at Tayto Park this weekend

A fire and emergency services international event will be held at Tayto Park, Kilbrew, Ashbourne, this Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May.
The event will see firefighters and rescue personnel from around Ireland and abroad take part in a major rescue challenge - rescuing casualties from simulated car crashes and other traumatic scenarios.
Local teams from Meath County Fire & Rescue Service, Meath Civil Defence and Boliden Tara Mines will be taking part in what promises to be an interesting event.
The rescue challenge event is free to attend and anyone can come.
Those attending can also avail of discounts for entering Tayto Park itself.
The winning rescue teams will go forward to represent Ireland at the World Rescue Challenge which is being held this October in Curitiba, Brazil.
The current Irish champions are the Meath County Fire & Rescue Service team who will be hoping to defend the title they won in Cork last year.
The fire service has invited local people to go to Tayto Park and show support for the team this weekend.
