Four awards for Brú at enterprise awards

Trim-based Brú Brewery completed a clean sweep of awards at the second annual Blacknight SME Awards, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cork. The awards night, hosted by 2FM’s Rick O’Shea, celebrated the work of Irish SMEs throughout 2015 and Brú Brewery’s stellar performance in the Craft Beer industry over the past year ensured that they beat off stiff competition to bring home four awards.

A hat trick of awards were scooped by Brú in the following categories: Best Food and Drink SME in Ireland; Best New Business (non-digital); and Best New Product/Service for its award winning Brú Gluten Free Lager.

The brewery also picked up the overall Blacknight SME Grand Prix Award for their achievements to date.

Brú Brewery co-founder David O’Hare said: “We are absolutely delighted to accept these awards, particularly as we were up against some truly impressive organisations. It was an absolute honour to have been nominated but to then receive such recognition across the three categories and Grand Prix is fantastic. We wouldn’t be here today without our loyal customers and we would like to thank them by continuing to produce great tasting craft beer.”

Since the business was founded in 2013, in Trim, Brú Brewery has been no stranger to success, as past winners of “Meath Business of the Year” and “International Business of the Year”. With a significant brewery expansion project nearly complete and exciting plans to renovate its first pub outlet in Fairview Dublin, 2016 looks like another exciting year for Brú.

The Brú range of Craft Beers, which recently won three prestigious World Beer Awards, are available in many pubs nationwide as well as on shelves in Supervalu, Tesco, Centra, Dunnes Stores and in all leading off-licences.
