Concern for safety of Willie and Anna

Gardai, who are extremely concerned for the welfare of 34-year-old William (Willie) Maughan and his girlfriend, Anastasija Varslavane (20), have renewed their appeal for the public’s help in tracing their whereabouts.
The couple have been missing for over seven months,
They were last seen between 2pm and 3pm in the Gormanston area on Tuesday 14th April.
Since their disappearance an incident room has been set up at Ashbourne Garda Station. A senior investigation officer has been appointed and a trained Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to both families.
This officer is keeping the families updated with any developments in their investigation. Significant enquiries have been made to date.
Superintendent James Cannon the officer in charge of this investigation said today “We are extremely concerned for the welfare and safety of both William and Anna; it is completely out of character for them to go missing in this fashion.
“I would urge anyone with information to contact the incident room at Ashbourne Garda Station on 01-8010600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
“You can also contact Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25. Calls to Crimestoppers are dealt with in the strictest of confidence. Callers do not need to leave their name or address. You may receive a reward for information which significantly helps Gardaí in their investigation.”
Willie is described as 5’ 8”, of athletic build, with shaved head and green eyes. It is not known what he was wearing when last seen. He was known to frequent Balbriggan, Stamullen and Gormanston areas.
Anastasija Varslavane is 20 years of age. She is of Latvian origin, but living in Ireland for a number of years. Known as Anna, she is 5’6” in height, of slim build, with long dark hair.
Anna was known to frequent Balbriggan, Stamullen, Gormanston areas and was last known to be in the company of Willie Maughan.
