Batten down the hatches, Storm Barney is coming

Weather warnings are in place for much of Ireland as gusts of up to 130km/h are expected in some areas this afternoon.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange warning for Leinster, Munster, Galway and Roscommon, as Storm Barney approaches.
Winds will reach speeds of 65 to 80 km/h with gusts of up to 110 to 130 km/h this afternoon, and in the east this evening.
AA Roadwatch said high-sided vehicles are particularly vulnerable on open or exposed roads and warned that debris could be a problem on secondary routes in particular.
Motorists are also advised to be aware of surface water on some roads.
Gardaí have also advised motorists to drive with care during stormy conditions and to avoid any unnecessary journeys this afternoon and evening.
Motorists should expect the unexpected such as debris blowing onto the roads and allow extra space around vulnerable road users.
