There is a €500 reward for the return of Millie.

Rescued dog millie missing for over a week

A golden cocker spaniel called Millie is missing in the Ashbourne-Ratoath area and a reward of €500 has been put up by its distraught owners. The dog was one of those rescued from the horrific Carlow puppy farm in April and nursed back to health by Dogs Trust.

Three year old Millie was one of the breeding bitches rescued by gardai. She was rehomed last month and she was settling in well but, because she is still very traumatised, she bolted and escaped by burrowing under the wire behind trees and into the cornfields behind the house. This was the night of 26th August at Harlockstown on the Ashbourne to Ratoath Road.

The owners, hwo have had co-ordinated searches for Millie, appeal to local landowners to search the sheds and outhouses as they think she is in the locality but too scared to come out. She is not afraid of other dogs or horses but terrified of humans.

There is a €500 reward to encourage people to look for her.  She is neutered, microchipped and name tagged. If anyone spots her they should not try to catch her as she will bolt again. They should just ring one of the family immediately.
