Local couples bid to track down footage of proposal

A local couple who got engaged at Ed Sheeran’s London gig are desperately trying to track down footage of the romantic proposal filmed by an onlooker.
Shirley Price and Paul O’Brien from Wilkinstown were in London for Ed Sheeran’s 12th July gig after Paul gave Shirley the tickets as a surprise for Christmas.
During ‘Thinking Out Loud’ Paul got down on one knee to propose to Shirley and the proposal was filmed by an onlooker who promised to email on the footage but now Shirley believes that in the heat of the moment, she gave her email address wrong and is hoping that the power of social media might help find the mystery person.
“About an hour into the gig, Paul went to the boys room and when ‘Thinking out Loud’ came on, I rang my dad so he could hear it and I was looking to see if Paul was on his way back. I could see him rushing back through the crowd, breaking his neck to get back for the song.
“I said Daddy is on the phone and Paul said Shirley I need you to listen. He got very serious and said I love you and next thing I saw the ring and he was getting down on one knee and I started crying.”
Soon afterwards a girl in her twenties with blond hair who was about 5ft 2 or 5ft 3 tapped Shirley on the shoulder and told her she was recording the song and realised what was going on and filmed the proposal. She told Shirley she would email it to her but in the excitement of the moment, Shirley is pretty sure she called out her email address wrong. Her correct email address is shirleyprice981@yahoo.ie.
She is now desperate to find the woman and see the footage of the precious moment.
