100000 ride new coaster in seven weeks

100,000 people have ridden the new roller coaster at Tayto Park after just 47 days in operation.

The Cú Chulainn Coaster, Europe’s largest wooden rollercoaster with an inversion near Ashbourne, hurtled into action seven weeks ago on Thursday, 4th June. Tayto Park says the demand from visitors to experience the terrifying speeds and heights is  building more each day.

With speeds of over 100km/h per hour, heights of 32.05 meters and a drop zone of 31 meters, the giant yellow pine rollercoaster is clocking up some astronomical numbers in terms of visitors.
