Death of kilskyre parish priest fr john brogan

The death has occurred of Very Rev John Brogan, Parish Priest of Kilskyre. 

Fr Brogan died on Sunday following an illness. 

A native of Oldcastle, Fr Brogan studied at the Pontifical Irish College, Rome, and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Meath in 1974. He was appointed curate in Clonmellon in 1974 before serving as a curate in Moynalty from June 1975), Slane (from 1978), Mucklagh (from September 1985) and Kilcloon (from September 1992).  

He became Parish Priest of Donore in October 1999 and was appointed to Kilskyre as parish priest in October 2009.

Fr Brogan's remains will be reposing at the parochial house in Kilskyre on Tuesday 21st July from 1pm until 6pm, with reception of the remains in the Church of St Alphonsus Liguori at 7pm.

Requiem Mass will take place in the Church of St Alphonsus Liguori on Wednesday 22 July at 12 noon.
