New party to hold first meeting in meath

A meeting to launch a branch of Renua Ireland in Meath East will take place in Dunshaughlin next week.

The nascent party set up by former Fine Gael Junior Minister Lucinda Creighton has said that, since its launch back in March, the response to Renua Ireland has exceeded expectations, and Meath has been no exception.

Numbers expressing interest in both Meath East and West have been very encouraging for Ireland’s newest political party, Renua said.

The party is holding its first meeting in Meath at O’Brien’s Arch Bar, Dunshaughlin, on Wednesday 13th May at 8pm. A second meeting, for the constituency of Meath West, is scheduled to take place in Trim later in the month.

Lucinda Creighton said “Renua Ireland is engaging the nation with a new style of politics, a style that is fit for our times. We are actively putting in place the people and policies to offer the citizens of Ireland a credible choice in the next general election.”

The aim of the Dunshaughlin meeting is to create an officer board of chairperson, secretary and PRO for the new Meath East branch of the party. The first meeting of Renua in the region took place in Louth this week, with a capacity crowd in attendance.
